Inspired by the poem 'The Waste Land' by T.S Elliot

 

Using only recorded sounds on a 5 mile stretch of the thames between Benfleet-on-Sea and Lea-on-Sea.

 

Recordings of the area made from homemade contact mic's, MS, Stereo and super-cardiod recordings of washed up boats and environmental soundcapes, then used as a part of the compositional palette to articulate an interpretation of the poem.
